All around you are the natural mangroves that make up the coastline of Yas Island. These beautiful plants create a green frame around the Yas canal providing a natural habitat around the turquoise waters. Last but not least is the Aldar Headquarters building. This circular structure is 25 floors tall and stands 113m at the tip. As one of the capital's most distinctive buildings, it was voted the "Best Futuristic Design 2008" by The Building Exchange (BEX) Conference in Spain. The building is home to Aldar, the company responsible for developing many of the city's iconic and complex construction projects.
